Thank you to all of our delegates who provided feedback and who have overwhelmingly voted for the next course to take place at the Radisson Blu Glasgow on Sunday 20/11/22.
This extended postponement seems most appropriate with other conferences this year and at the start of next year being postponed, such as NES (October 2021) and Optical Munich (January 2022) amongst others who have had to change to a digital platform only, such as the College of Optometrists and ABDO.
In addition to the new Omicron COVID variant, winter flu projections, travel restrictions and the reintroduction of protection measures such as masks and lateral flow tests, extending the course further than the start or middle of next year is a pragmatic risk based assessment. We are already planning all of the lectures and hands-on workshops for a fully interactive face to face meeting with no restrictions imposed. There will also be the chance to visit the largest exhibition outside of London with a record 55 exhibitors representing the entire optical industry.
Have a great festive season and stay safe.
We look forward to meeting you all in person in November 2022 after a two year postponement.
